The Mirador de la Zarza offers a dizzying view over the northern cliffs of Tenerife and the Atlantic. Less known than the big tourist viewpoints, it draws few crowds and overlooks unspoilt stretches of coast reachable only on foot or by boat.
Surrounded by laurisilva (laurel forest), it is one of the places where Tenerife looks most like it did before mass tourism arrived.
This viewpoint barely shows up on tourist GPS systems. On Google Maps, search for "Mirador La Zarza Anaga". The road leading there is very narrow: a standard car gets through, but two vehicles cannot pass side by side. Ideal to combine with the Mirador Pico del Inglés on the same day.
