Finados, the Canarian Day of the Dead, runs in La Orotava from 22 to 31 October 2026 with a free municipal programme: a lecture, guided tours of the municipal cemetery (inaugurated in 1823), a book presentation, theatre (“Don Juan Tenorio” on the 29th) and the evening walk “La Orotava en hueso y alma”. The guided tours require advance registration with the tourism office (turismo@villadelaorotava.org).
