Playa de Los Abrigos

Los Abrigos is the answer from southern regulars to the question: "Where do locals really go?" This fishing village, nestled in a black sand cove just a few kilometers from the major resorts of Costa Adeje and Las Américas, has kept its soul. The beach itself is modest: just a few dozen meters of volcanic sand, boats pulled ashore, no sun loungers or umbrellas. What draws people here is the waterfront and its succession of fresh fish restaurants. Grilled sea bream, lobster, squid: residents of Granadilla and El Médano come down here on Sundays specifically for lunch. Village atmosphere without commercial pressure. Access by car (TF-1, Los Abrigos exit) or bus 483 from Los Cristianos. Book the restaurant in summer.
